Having the same problem with method names flashing... latest version of PyCharm professional as of 3/4/2023 - WTF, I paid for this?

This is the same problem I've seen reported here as far back as 2018.  In the editor the method names in a class are flashing back and forth between two colors.  I've run repair on the IDE, closed and reopen, etc, nothing stops it from happening.  Very distracting while trying to code.
