Why can I not change the Driver of my Data Sources?

Answered

Hello,

I have added a new driver under Data Sources and Drivers and now I want to change the driver of my existing data source to use my new driver. When I right-click on my data source and click Change Driver in the context menu, I can see a list of drivers but it's not complete. It's not the full list that I can see in the Drivers tab of the Data Sources and Drivers window.

Currently I'm already using a user driver. Now I want to switch to another user driver (using a different version of the jdbc driver) but my new user driver is missing in that list. Many other drivers are missing too, including the predefined Oracle drivers from DataGrip. My data source is an Oracle database, so it cannot be the case that the IDE checks what database I'm using and then automatically hides drivers that don't fit.

Why is my new driver not listed in the list of drivers that I can select for my data source?

Hello,

Do you have dialect set in "Options" tab of Driver configuration?
