how to disable annoying SCIM popup in lower right

Whenever I launch PyCharm 2023.1 on Linux, the lower right corner of the IDE is obscured by this popup I do not want, and it is covering valuable information, namely the Python Interpreter setting. This seems to be a new feature. How do I disable it? I can disable it every time I run by using its menu, but it comes back the next time. I want to permanenly disable it. I don't need a "smart" common input manager, whatever that is. My input is just fine the way it is. I type, and what I type is understood by the application I'm using. No problems there.

I tried searching for this popup in the Global Settings under Plugins. It was not there, so that did not help.

Thanks.
