PyCharm doesn't open after I installed it in my applications (Mac).

Hi,

I was able to install PyCharm into my applications folder, but when i click to open it, the PyCharm icon shows up in my dock for a split second and then disappears. I've tried deleting and reinstalling it to fix this problem but it hasn't worked. My Mac is an OS X El Capitan version 10.11.6 (no software updates available). The installation worked fine on my Windows PC but just not on my Mac.
