How to hide buttons next to line numbers?

The gutter is made so big by the buttons. I don't need them. I've fruitlessly tried to figure out how to hide them for a while now. Any help?

File | Settings | Editor | General | Gutter Icons
to configure (most) of gutter icons or completely switch them off"
