CLion is disappearing on Ubuntu 16.04
Completed
When I open CLion, I can see it in the taskbar but not able to see the window.
I re-installed it, then I saw the window and after a while the issue repeated again. Your quick help will be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, Ravi.
Sorry for the inconvenience! Could you please send idea.log(Help | Show Log in ...) to clion-support at jetbrains.com? It would help us in our investigation.
I couldnt understand where to find the file idea.log
In case you were referring to the 'Help' in the upper 'Menu' bar of the CLion, I cannot get there which is basically my issue.
When I go to ~/clion-2016.3.2/bin and run ./clion.sh, I can see that the CLion is loading and after a couple of seconds, I see 'Tip of the day' thingy...but the main window doesnt show up. I can also see the CLion is open and running in my task bar, but, clicking it doesnt do anything.
Has this issue been resolved? I am seeing this exact behaviour.

Think I found the solution. Look around for the window that is now resized to tiny dimension (essentially zero width and tiny height) and resize it.
Same happened to me. Ishwark solution worked. I don't know why it happened but the clion app was with 0 width on the left border of the screen. I believe it has something to do with multiple screen support by ubuntu which is kinda buggy.
Found the same issue on my desktop, run sh many times and it didn't show up.
Please vote up the question not comments if you have the same issue.
If clion.sh is running and IDE is not visible, probably CLion is running minimized or off-screen and you need to find a way to maximize it or return to the main screen. If you have CLion icon in the dash among the other running applications, you can try the following: select CLion, press <alt>+<space> and choose Move or Maximize in the context menu.
Feel free to report the issue to the platform's tracker: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issues/IDEA.
The upper comment from staff works, just <alt>+<space> and click Maximize.
