Webstorm 2016 -> 2017 update fonts broken

I updated Webstorm from version 2016 nov to 2017 this week and noticed my fonts are broken. I fixed editor font by checking from a friend who still uses 2016 nov but cant seem to fix ui font. Even I override font it doesn't work. Is there any way I can fix this issue besides going back to old version of Webstorm?

I'm on ubuntu 16.04

please follow https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/JRE-205 for updates.
You can you try a new JRE build with -Djava2d.font.loadFontConf=false option - see https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/JRE-205#comment=27-2029724
