How do I disable SCSS code validation?
Answered
Hi!
Every time I code in SCSS and I have some invalid code, which sometimes happens, when I'm not yet finished with my code, the SCSS code validation window pops up and tells me I got an error. This is really annoying, since the focus jumps into the window which interrupts me during coding.

How do I disable this? I tried it by changing something in Settings->Inspections but I'm not sure whether this is the right way.

- In File | Settings | Tools | File Watchers, open SCSS file watcher for editing
- Make sure that 'Trigger watcher regardless of syntax errors' is off
- I'd also suggest disabling 'Immediate file synchronization' there, to make sure that compiler is only triggered on explicit Save All and not while typing
Thank you! I did it just the way you said and it worked well!
Apparently it's not working. Even after disabling Inspections, restarting IDE (yes, pressed OK too) it highlights SCSS files. Tried "Project Settings" and "Default Settings".
OS: Ubuntu 20.
Version: WebStorm 2022.1.2
That's a parser error by the looks of it: IDE can't parse what is written in the file. Unfortunately this can't be suppressed/disabled. If this is a part of some framework - submit it as a missing feature to our tracker: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/newIssue. A corresponding team will review this & address if everything is right.
@Gwozniak you can disable the error checking for current file by settings its highlighting level to None via the inspections widget in the upper right corner. See https://www.jetbrains.com/help/webstorm/disabling-and-enabling-inspections.html#change-highlighting-level-for-file
