Highlighted differences in Diff viewer unreadable - can the foreground colour be specified?
Answered
There does not seem to be any way to set the foreground colour for highlighted differences in the Diff viewer - and for some foreground colours the highlight effectively obscures the text altogether.

Am I missing something in the Colors and Fonts settings?
Thanks,
Richard

You could configure colors in Settings - Editor - Colors and Fonts - Diff & Merge
BTW, what theme do you use? Doesn't look like default Darcula.
My scheme is a modified version of Darcula - I prefer other colours.
With the Colors and Fonts - Diff & Merge I do not see a means of setting the foreground colour:
It is possible to have any colour for different parts of code/languages etc and still be able to read highlighted sections by completely changing the background and foreground on the selection - that way it does not matter what the foreground of the underlying text is.
Diff does not change text color, it uses the settings from Editor.
Seems you just need to adjust the background to fit your custom colors.
If you need a feature that completely changes text colors in the highlighted part of the code - please submit a feature request at https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issues/IDEA
