Webstorm MacOS does not close projects properly

Since I upgraded to the latest WebStorm version WebStorm (2017.1.3 Build #WS-171.4424.63, built on May 16, 2017) it doesn't close project windows properly. I open multiple projects and when I close one of them the windows becomes unresponsive and I need to close all projects from the icon itself.

Anyone seeing this behavior?
