Invalid descendent file name "". and .htaccess not shown
Hi,
So this one's a 2-parter.
Most importantly; I get the following error on my remote server, completely out of the blue:'Invalid descendent file name "".'
Now, I'm working on this project from seperate pc's. It's working 100% perfectly fine on every PC except (suddenly) the one I'm working on it with right now.
This error just came out of the blue.
What I've tried so far:
- remove and add the deployment
- go back to the root (instead of httpdocs), which works, but if I try to open httpdocs I get the same error again.
- Try to upload a file from a different PC -- works perfectly fine, So it's a local issue.
Problem #2
I just can't get PHPStorm to show me my .htaccess files, which is quite annoying, really... Any help would be appreciated :) (I'm pretty sure it used to until 2016.2)
Edit:
Another PC is now showing the file descendent error.
Edit 2:
The invalid descendent error has been fixed.
Apparently PHPstorm, at one point, decided to create a nameless folder. I only realised this after logging into the FTP with filezilla (with which I still couldn't do anything with it) so I deleted it through linux. This fixed the issue of the invalid descendent

Hello,
Where is .htaccess file located? Are permissions fine?
What is the scope used by Project tool window?
Hello Vladimir,
The .htaccess is in pretty much every subfolder + the project root.
What do you mean by the scope, exactly? The project folder starts in the server's httpdocs.
