Intellij will reindex all the projects after I restart it

Answered

Recently I upgrade my intellij to 2017.2, but I found that everytime after I restart it, it would reindex all the projects which takes a long time. This is not the same behavior as the previous version I use. Is this expected or a bug ? Thanks

Check idea.log (https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/articles/207241085) for details. There will be a reason for the index rebuild logged. See if disabling non-bundled plug-ins helps (http://www.jetbrains.com/idea/webhelp/enabling-and-disabling-plugins.html). Delete the system directory (https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/articles/206544519).

See if 2017.2.3 works better for you: https://confluence.jetbrains.com/display/IDEADEV/IDEA+2017.2+EAP.

If it still happens, file a bug at https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issues/IDEA with the logs attached.
