Problem installing juliafy in PyCharm

I successfully built the juliafy project from GetHub (, but could not convince PyCharm to install anything in the project that looked vaguely like a plugin. Tim Yates at Gradle helped me with the build, and he was also stymied. What does happen at the conclusion of the build is the appearance of a stripped down version of IntelliJ IDEA 2017.2 in which juliafy is embedded and fully functional. However, this is just a test instance and not actually useful to me (especially since the only way to invoke it is by doing the build each time!).

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could step me through the process of installing this plugin into my PyCharm CE 2017.2 (Build #PC-172.3757.67; JRE: 1.8.0_152--release-915-b10 x86_64; JVM: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM by JetBrains s.r.o.) running under Mac OS X 10.10.5.

You can call 'buildPlugin' task from intellij-gradle-plugin, it'll produce a zip file containing the plugin distribution in build/distributions directory. You can install that zip file into PyCharm via 'Install plugin from disk' action.
