How to import settings from community edition to the ultimate one?

Answered

I accidentally updated from community edition to the ultimate one. It's fine, I have the license. The problem is that during the installation it decided to import settings from even older idea14 settings folder. And now, once it is installed I don't know how to import settings from Community 2016.2 because I no longer have it installed and as such can't produce settings'jar and I can't find a way to force it to import from the dir.

Delete current IDE config directory (https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/articles/206544519), it will force the settings import dialog to appear again next time you start IntelliJ IDEA.

Thanks! That worked. Strange that it tries to import from the much older version by default.
