No directories shown for non-unique filenames

Hi,

 

I have a problem where even when the 'Show directory in editor tabs for non-unique filenames' is selected, no folder names are shown. This is kinda hassle when most of the files in a massive project are named index.js and separated by their folder name.

I still do not know is this a bug or am I missing something...

Some info on system:

  • Windows 10 Pro, Version 1709
  • WebStorm 2017.3, build 173.3727.108. (No updates available at the moment)

Hi there,

Not commenting on actual problem ... just offering some (more flexible IMO) alternative:

  1. Disable that option
  2. Install "Tabdir" plugin
  3. After restart -- configure at "Settings/Preferences | Other Settings | Tabdir" as needed

It allows to configure how many symbols to show, how many folders etc
