I am asking for some advice from WebStorm users regarding my approach to choosing the (version) of the software I work with.
I have many years of experience working in (desktop application development) using Visual Studio. When it comes to Visual Studio, (I'm still using VS 2019) I usually don't bother with the latest releases until they are around 3 or 4 years old. By that time, they feel/seem very stable and solid and have plenty of resources, documentation, code examples, etc. available.
Now, as I dive into WebStorm, I'm wondering if I should follow a similar approach when deciding which version to use. During my initial usage of WebStorm, I'm trying to figure out if it makes sense to start with an older version.
If any of you have insights to share, I'd really appreciate your input. Do you think it's a good idea to wait a while before switching to the latest WebStorm version? Have you found any advantages in using older versions?
