My PHPStorm settings were lost after upgrading to 2023.2.1

Hi all,

I upgraded using the Jetbrains toolbox in Mac arm64 to PHpstorm 2023.2.1

 

I noticed that my keymap and other settings are lost. (not everything, scratches, consoles are there mostly I notice keymaps are missing so far).

 

How to import them back from the older instanc?

 

I cannot open the older Phpstorm as it is removed and clicking the icon opens the newer 2023.2.1.

 

I see that a folder exist of older version 2021.3 but I can't find anything to import in IDE settings

 

PS:

Sync settings with JetBrains account does not work for me as I had not enabled that before (I guess). I tried it logged-in enabled sync nothing happened

Just to be sure - before the upgrade, you used PhpStorm version 2021.3.*, correct?

If so, you can import your settings from this folder via File | Manage IDE Settings | Import Settings.

Hi yes I used before 2021.3.*

 

I am trying File | Manage IDE Settings | Import Settings. but don't know where the 2021.3 settings are stored.

Oh, sorry. I thought you knew because you have this directory selected on your screenshot.
It's ~/Library/Application Support/JetBrains/PhpStorm2021.3.
