Can not change database diagram layout.

Hi,

I am currently using DataGrip version 2023.3.2 (233.13135.68) and have encountered a problem with changing the diagram layout. Once a diagram is generated, any attempts to modify the layout seem to have no effect. Additionally, after several attempts to change the layout, the options for available layouts become disabled. Has anyone else experienced this issue or have any suggestions on how to resolve it?

Best regards.

Hi - what database do you have this problem with? Is it SQLite by any chance?

Hello,
I understand that you have a problem with changing the database diagram layout in DataGrip version 2023.3.2. I did some research and found some possible solutions for you.

One solution is to check if you have the latest version of the DataGrip plugin installed. You can do this by going to Settings | Plugins and searching for DataGrip. If there is an update available, click on the Update button and restart DataGrip. This may fix the issue with the diagram layout options.

Another solution is to try a different diagram type. DataGrip supports two types of diagrams: UML and Entity-Relationship. You can switch between them by clicking on the Diagram Type button on the diagram toolbar. The UML diagram type may have more layout options than the Entity-Relationship diagram type.

A third solution is to report the issue to the DataGrip support team and provide them with the details of your problem. You can do this by clicking on the Help | Contact Support menu item and filling out the form. You can also attach a screenshot of your diagram and the log files from Help | Show Log in Explorer. The DataGrip support team may be able to help you resolve the issue or suggest a workaround.

I hope these solutions help you with your database diagram layout problem in DataGrip.
Best Regards
