High PyCharm CPU and Memory usage

Hi, I'm getting very high CPU usage and memory usage, at the time of writing (30 to 40% utilisation of a Ryzen 9 5950X) from PyCharm. The application I'm writing is only using 6%!

My file structure consists of about 10 python scripts (not excessively long) and then some datasets in excluded file directories.

I see that you also registered a performance problem report on YouTrack https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/PY-70166

So we will follow up there
