Pycharm on raspberry pi bookworm 64 bit hangs after a few minutes

I am having a problem with pycharm on my raspberry pi 4 with bookwork 64 bit installed.  After startup, the application just stops responding and the Raspberry PI becomes stops responding to keyboard inputs.  The only solution is to reboot the enter system.

The os version is

Linux pi4dev64 6.6.20+rpt-rpi-v8 #1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 1:6.6.20-1+rpt1 (2024-03-07) aarch64

The Java version is

java --version

The pycharm version is pycharm-community-2024.1
