Syntax highlighting flickering on Linux after I stop typing

Code (within the function I am in) flickers when I stop typing (see the GIF below).

OS: Linux Mint 21.3, X-Cinnamon (Linux 5.15.0-91-generic)

WebStorm version: 2024.1.2 (Build #WS-241.15989.105, built on April 23, 2024)

WebStorm installed with the JetBrains Toolbox.

The issue looks similar to https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/WEB-66566/Highlightings-flash-each-time-key-pressed, the fix will be included in the next major update, 2024.2.
