PyCharm - PyQT5 and SQL

Answered

I need 2 info (I'm evaluating to move to PyCharm and I need some clarifications):

- PyCharm works with PyQt5?

- with reference to SQL / Database, 2 points:

  1) PyCharm works with SQL Server Microsoft (I usually work with SQL Server 2016 Express Edition?

  2) Community Edition doesn't support SQL features...it means that it's mandatory to buy standard edition in order to work with SQL DB or it means only     that not all features are included in Community Edition? I have basic code that interfaces with SQL server (write / read DB...)

Thanks

Yes, you could install PyQT5 package for your interpreter as described here: https://www.jetbrains.com/help/pycharm/2016.1/installing-uninstalling-and-upgrading-packages.html.

Please check https://blog.jetbrains.com/datagrip/2016/06/21/connecting-datagrip-to-ms-sql-server/ (this blog post about DataGrip but the same is applicable for Pycharm because PyCharm contains all DataGrip features via Database plugin).

Database plugin isn't bundled to Pycharm Community so it means that Pycharm Community doesn't provide database features at all.
