Change foreground colour of HTML tag values

Hello,

How can I change the foreground colour of text within HTML tags? In other words, the string of text between the opening and closing tag of HTML blocks, like this:

<p>String of text I want a specific foreground colour</p>

I have looked everywhere in PHPStorm settings without any luck :-(.

General > Text > Default text is set to a colour completely different to what is currently in use. I don't know what is overwriting it but I would like to change it.

Hi there,

Please post screenshots of what you see there -- using Default or Darcula color schemas (2 standard ones).

Please also ensure that screenshot shows what file type it is and what structure it has (ideally -- the less content the better as it will be easier to see what style it might be overwriting Default text color).

Hello,

I have attached the screenshots you have requested. I am using the Material Theme scheme, with the Darcula theme.

1) You have changed GUI Theme -- that's different. There are 2 separate settings: GUI Theme (affects GUI elements) and actual Color Schema (affects editor area and few other things, like VCS status colors etc)

2) On your second screenshot you are using Material Theme Schema -- it has to be Darcula or Default. Since I do not use this theme (it's buggy for me in some places) I cannot validate for 100% what style overrides your colors.

But so far it most likely will be "HTML --> HTML Code" style (at least it allows to override Default text color for text between HTML tags)

!Hello,

It uses the inherited "Default text" setting from General :(.

Is it really my only choice to use the standard Darcula schema and spend lots of time having to modify it so it works the way Material Theme works? (I don't find Material Theme UI buggy, but I certainly find phpStorm buggy in performance!)

Try overriding it here then -- untick "use inherited" and see if it will help.

I have no other ideas ATM -- unless I install Material Theme myself and dig into it.

Hello,

I did try that without any luck.

I am a bit unhappy about this but I appreciate your effort to help me. I'll just use the Darcula theme and modify it to my liking.

Thanks.

Ben

Edit: Solution found, as pointed out by Andriy - XML -> Tag Data.

Just one more thing. How do I change the background colour of 'unknown' class references? I don't know what section of Colours & Fonts this is in.

Try in General -- "Warning" or "Unknown Symbol" perhaps

OK -- It's "XML -> Tag Data" style
