How can I make "Find in Path..." always include .iml files?

Answered

Hi,

Does anybody know how I can force "Find in Path..." to always look in .iml files?

I know that .iml are configuration files, but they are heavily used in my project as a propitiatory XML markup language (Insight Markup Language) and I need to be able to search them.

I've tried explicitly setting an extension to search for but that doesn't work.

No occurrences of 'test' found in Directory blah\blah\blah\insight\iml with mask '*.iml'
Find Options... (Ctrl+Shift+F)
Occurrences in project configuration files are skipped. Include them

When I hit "Include them" it works a treat (finding test within several .iml files under that path).

I want to be able to do this by default.  Can I dissacotate this system extension?  Any ideas?

Many thanks!

Matt

Looks like this is not possible at this moment. You can submit a feature request to get this configurable at http://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issues/WI#newissue=yes

This was working, but no longer in 2017.1.3

Very annoying.
