Cursor position reset bug in WebStorm 2016.3 (latest version)

Save(cmd + s) action trigger reset position of cursor.

Can't recreate. Does it happen in all projects? Please create a new one - does the problem persist? If yes, please provide your IDE settings (File | Export settings); otherwise, please attach your .idea folder

Related to "Strip trailing spaces on Save" option

https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-137010 perhaps ?? (check first comment there)

 

P.S.

Same in PhpStorm in .php files -- 2016.3 strips leading spaces on empty line while 2016.2 does not touch the same line.

No .editorconfig files in the project although EditorConfig plugin is enabled (in case if it matters)

I have the same issue WebStorm Build #WS-163.7743.25.

Basically it seems as the the promise "Trailing spaces will NOT be trimmed in the line under caret" is no longer a true statement!
