UI Editor

I just saw that Xib and Storyboard editor has been cancelled ?
Why ? Is there any plan to reintroduce this feature ? Because, without UI editor, I don't why I would use this tool ???

Hi David.

Sorry for the inconvenience. We have decided to suspend our work on UI Designer in order to focus on better language support in the editor (Swift 2 support, new Objective-C features, etc). Possibly after that we will return to UI problems, but not now. Xib files are opened automatically in Xcode’s Interface Builder.

Nevertheless, feel free to comment or upvote the issue in the tracker:

Actually, 50% of the developing job is done using Interface builder...then switching between 2 IDE just for code editing while Xcode editing is not so bad make AppCode quit useless...same problem existed for Xamarin...

100% Agree with you Steve. I tried AppCode for the first time this week, expecting it to be great like IntelliJ. Its far from it, the lack of language support, the way auto complete works, coupled with the weird workflow you need to use for xib interface building is horrendous. I'm not sure you guys can pritotize better language support above interface builder support. I feel like a great IDE needs both.
