More updates please

I think its too quiet about the python plugin. No news, no blogposts, no nothing.

There are some comments in this forum from jetbrains, but the confluence page for the plugin hasnt been updated in over 7 months.

Its a shame, because the plugin has such great potential.

Could we get some information about the next version, please? :-)

If the plugin is dead/on hold, then why not say so?

I've switched to the Maia EAP and the PluginManager does not offer any python plugin at all.

So like Markus already said: if the plugin is dead, please tell us so that at least we know what is going on.

If that is the case, it would be a shame but I could look for another editor/tool for doing my python coding.

Right now, there is confusion and uncertainty ;-)

So please, give us a quick update on what's going on.

Thanks,

Christian

No, the plugin is not dead or on hold. However, the resources that we're

able to allocate to the plugin development are very limited, and because

of that there has been nothing blogpost-worthy yet.

We plan to release an update of the plugin during the next 1-2 weeks (for

both Diana and Maia). The new version of the plugin will include a test runner

and a number of improvements to the code insight / code editing support.

Thanks for the update, Dmitry  - that is good news!

Good news indeed. It's currently especially frustrating that the existing

plugin doesn't work with Maia, though it sounds like the next Maia EAP should

help with that at least.

Thanks for the update, Dmitry  - that is good news!
