Python Debug Breakpoints

I am using IntelliJ 8 and I can't get the python debugging to work. Also, I can't set breakpoints. Is this normal? Will this be supported in the future?

The current version of the Python plugin does not support debugging Python

code. This will be supported in future versions of the plugin.
