Will it be possible to use PyCharm as an editor for IronPython?

Essentially, will there be a way to import namespace/class info for the FCL and get code analysis and refactoring support for IronPython?

Thanks

Not sure what you mean by FCL. :-) Selecting IronPython as a target interpreter

will definitely be supported in 1.0. As for importing .NET assemblies and

providing code completion for .NET types - don't know yet how hard this would

be, so no definite plans yet.

Great to hear it will be supported as an interpreter and I hope you'll pursue IP as a supported target for PyCharm.

FWIW, I've been using Michael Foord's code to inform Wing of .NET types.  He writes about it at  http://www.voidspace.org.uk/ironpython/wing-how-to.shtml.

Thanks a lot for the pointer! I think we'll be able to use the same solution

for PyCharm.
