Running PyCharm on Ubuntu 9.1
Hi,
I'm struggling with running PyCharm on Ubuntu 9.1. When I run pycharm.sh file, I'm getting the following error message:
"ERROR: cannot start PyCharm.
No JDK found to run PyCharm. Please validate either PYCHARM_JDK or JDK_HOME points to valid JDK installation
exec: 103: /bin/java: not found"
I downloaded and extracted Java SE Development Kit 6u21 for Linux and changed
"PYCHARM_JDK=$JDK_HOME" line at pycharm.sh file to "PYCHARM_JDK='/home/name/JDK6u21'".
Now, I'm getting another error:
"Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/intellij/idea/Main
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.intellij.idea.Main
at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:202)
at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:190)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:307)
at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:301)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:248)
Could not find the main class: com.intellij.idea.Main. Program will exit."
Can someone help me out with this issue please?
Thank you very much!
Kind Regards,
Michael
