UNC path for projects?

I'm developing a WIndows 7 station and running tests from a linux station. I'd like to setup my projects on our network to streamline my linux tests but Pycharm doesn't let me place my project into a unc path location. The path is the same for Linux. Are drive letters the only way?

Yes, right now you have to map the path to a drive letter. It's possible

that the restriction will be removed in a future version of PyCharm.
