Early review of PyCharm 1.1

Greetings,

My colleagues and I are curently evaluating Python-aware IDEs.   and we're looking to make a decision by December 1, 2010.

I see on the PyCharm 1.1 roadmap that enhanced debugging is on the list for a hopeful realease by the end of the year.

Would it be possible to see an Early Access or Beta build that can show off some of the new debugging features?

I love editting files in PyCharm, but the current state of debugging in 1.0

Sorry, somehow posted before I was done.  To finish...

I love editting files in PyCharm, but for me the 1.0 debugger is a  deal-breaker as it is just not robust enough --- the display is great  but the lack of arbitrary code execution, conditional break points, etc.  are serious drawbacks.

If you're able to provide an early preview of 1.1 before we make the WingIDE vs PyCharm call, it would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Rob

Hello Rob,

We'll start publishing Early Access Preview builds of PyCharm 1.1 after the

1.0.1 bugfix update, hopefully in a couple of weeks. Note that not all of

the features listed in the roadmap will be available in the first EAP build

(but at least the new debug console and conditional break points will be

there).

I'll keep my eyes posted.  Thanks again for the quick response Dmitry.
