PyCharm debugging in wrong project

I have 2 projects in different directories that are the same code base, but developing different features in each. When I debug a set of files in project 2, it is incorrectly using the cooresonding files form project 1. Only one project, Project 2 is open in PyCharm. I noticed that the Python Interperter paths have the project 1 in the path, but when I try and remove them, it marks them as "removed by user" but they problem persists.

Neither project is in the pythonpath or path variables.

Any ideas what is going on and why one project is seeing the files of another project.

Hello Chris,

Which OS are you using?

If the paths of project 1 are listed in Settings | Python Interpreters, it

means that, when running that Python interpreter, it adds these paths to

PYTHONPATH.

Dmitry,

Thanks for the quick response. I figured out what on my system was setting the python path and once I figured that out the problem went away.
