breakpoint on all thrown exceptions but NOT c++ ones

is there a way to turn these off?

the misery of debugging when working with avfoundation can be relieved by ignoring c++ breakpoints/exception throwing.

I can do this in xcode, but not sure how to do it in appcode.

We removed the selection between C++ and ObjC exceptions because it is not possible to distinguish C++ exception from other exceptions.
I think we can return selection back so you can choose between all and OC-Only exceptions.

Request is not necessary - we already have fixed this.
I'll provide a link for you to try a build.

I just tried the build and it works.. anyone else who is strugging with AVFoundation (particularly AVPlayer c++ exceptions).. here is a link to the promised land!!!

http://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/OC-5563

you can download a version of Appcode there that allows you to turn off the c++ exceptions, thus enabling your break on throw exception behaviour WHILE working with avplayer.

I'm so happy right now!!

You're a legend Anton. thanks so much.
