The plugin for IntelliJ IDEA 11 has been available for a while. This week we plan to release a new update, roughly matching PyCharm 2.5.1, however some of the features of PyCharm 2.5 (creating virtualenvs, working with remote interpreters) won't be available in that release.
Yup I have the current Python plugin installed for Intellij 11 I was just hoping to get the virtualenv support. I'm really looking forward to that feature. I was talking with a co worker and it would be really nice if at some point the open directory or at least the charm script was setup in intellij so you could just start a project from the comman line. Anyway, thanks for the great product I love the python support in Pycharm/Intellj
