Configure colour of right-margin markers

I would like to configure the colour of the markers in the right hand margin of source code -- I mean the little rectangles that show warnings, "show usage in file" marks, etc.

I've looked in the preferences but can't find anything for configuring this. Is it possible?

Thanks.

Hi Alex,

Look under preferences in Editor -> Colors & Fonts

You'll find a General group and (probably) and Objective-C group.
For each element listed in these groups, you can set/change the "Error Stripe Mark" to
change the color of the markers.

(I'm taking this from the Java IDE as I'm not on my Mac right now, so minor details may differ)

Hi Maarten,
Thanks for that. I hadn't noticed the 'error stripe' item before.
I can't find an item that corresponds to the 'find usage in file' item, unfortunately! So maybe it's not possible to configure that exact one.

Cheers!

Hi Alex,

Try 'identifier under caret' in the General group.

Hi Maarten,
Thanks for suggestion. That doesn't seem to be it though -- the show usage in file marker is still a grey colour. I've looked through all the general items and I can't see any error stripe that seems to match that grey colour.

Cheers,
Alex

Hi Alex,

You are correct, I don't see a setting for the find-usages highlighting either.
However, I find I hardly use that since I have the highlighting of the identifier under caret available.

I'm not sure if that is enabled by default. If not, you can switch on
'Highlight usages of element at caret' in the Editor settings.

Cheers,
Maarten
