django debugger slow

It's slow to attach to processes, validate models, and the first request to the server (after it is ready) is taking over 2 minutes in my project.  I tried it in a bare bones project and it's fast.  What could have happened to my project to cause this?  It wasn't always this way.  Running the server in Run mode (vs Debug) is fast as well.

Hi Justin,

do you have Exception breakpoints set?

yes, should I not?  if not, then what good is Debug, it would seem to be pretty much the same as Run at that point.

You can turn off tracing exceptions on every raise (Python Exception Breakpoints | Activation policy | On raise) to make debugger work faster.

When that check box is turned off PyCharm debugger doesn't trace all execution contexts, but only those, where breakpoints are set.

Also, what version of Python do you use? Do you have a warning saying about 'psyco not available for speedups' ?

Run --> View Breakpoints....

Delete all breakpoints you don't need

Sped it up immensly.
