question about when/where settings are saved

i typically like to have all settings (code editor settings, ide windows, etc) the same for all projects ...

i am wondering, when i setup the gui settings, are they saved with each project?  i can't tell really because as i said i setup all my projects the same, but i am wondering when i open a project, is it being setup by the last settings used, or by settings saved for the specific project, and when i create a new project, is there a way to have it use the same settings as the last open project?  that would save time because it seems every time i create a new project i have to setup all the windows again, etc .. and i am not sure what else i need to setup ... for example, if i set the javascript code style in one project, will it be the same in a new project i create after that? what about an existing project?

Then another question, what about ftp configurations .. is there only one global list of deployment cfgs or are they specific to each project .. i can sort of figure all this out i suppose by process of elimination, but it would be easier if you could tell me concretely

thanks

Code style settings are kept in your user settings unless you copy them to your project.

The workspace settings (states of tool window buttons, open and recent files) are project-specific.

The list of deployment configurations is shared among projects.

so if i understand about code style, since i work alone, it is not an issue for me .. only if i want to share the project with someone i should copy the code style to the project, so that they can also have the same settings, does that sound right?

Yes, it would be probably more convenient for you to keep your code style settings the same for all your projects.
