API Reference access Follow
Is there no better way to search the API Reference than running XCode just to read the API Reference documentation? The view external documentation has to run XCode to allow us to read the documentation.

Lorenzo, the only other way is no open developer.apple.com in the browser.
I've create an issue http://youtrack.jetbrains.net/issue/OC-2399 for the discussion. Feel free to comment
In the meantime, I can heartily recommend Dash, currently free from the AppStore. It has a rather eccentric UI, but is lightning-quick for class documentation lookups. For guides and other Apple reference documents, I've bookmarked the main index.html of my locally-installed docset in Safari (in my case file:///Library/Developer/Documentation/DocSets/com.apple.adc.documentation.AppleiOS5_0.iOSLibrary.docset/Contents/Resources/Documents/navigation/index.html). The 'Documents' search box and contents panes are all javascript-based, so work fine locally. To be honest I find the web-based UI better than XCode's lousy docs browser anyway.
> Dash
For completeness, I am now aware of not one but three API documentation browsing tools for Mac: AppKiDo, Dash, and Ingredients.
