Running PyCharm on ARM system

I'm trying to run PyCharm on Odroid-X2 device (running Linaro ARM version of Ubuntu). I've tried OpenJDK and now also Oracle Java SE8 preview for ARM. In both cases it's starting and then nothing - no gui. At first run it just showed the initial import settings window.

Java SE displays a warning - "ignoring option MaxPermSize..." as "support was removed in 8.0".

Is it actually doable to run PyCharm on ARM ? :)

In theory this could work - all the native code components of PyCharm are optional, and the ARM port of Java does include Swing. You can look at the log file (~/.PyCharm20/system/logs/idea.log) to see if PyCharm is reporting any exceptions.

Can't see any exceptions in the log. It ends at JRE and JVM versions.

I've downloaded the EAP version, and got the log with YourKit (had to download it and copy the armhf 7 *.so library as libyjpagent-linux.so). The log is attached. PyCharm can be started but no gui shows up - so at some point it dies.
