Python Launcher

I am running PyCharm on OSX 10.8.5.  I installed Python 2.7.6 using MacPorts.  MacPorts also installed an app called Python Launcher.  That app is causing a small problem.  

Then I run an app in PyCharm, the app won't immediately run.  As soon as I run, the Python Launcher app pops up.  I then have to click Python Launcher to see my app.  What a waste of time.  Is there any way to get PyCharm to immediately run the Python program.  Should I remove Python Launcher from my system?  If I do, will that cause any other problems I need to know about?
