Not all names coming up under intellisense/autocomplete

I noticed almost all the names beginning with a __ don't come up under intellisense/autocomplete.

For example class.__name__ does not show up but interestingly it is highlighted in purple?

Is this a bug or if it's a setting how can I get them to appear in the intellisense list?
