How to "enable Django support for the project" for a remote project?

I am trying to run/debug a django project on AWS.  When I try to run it, PyCharm says "Error: Please enable Django support for the project".  The only Django project root options are local.  Should I be copying all the Django files to the local machine?

Why is JetBrains documentation so abysmal?

No examples, no explanation.

"Host" -- "Enter the host name to use"  ... I have fired programmers for writing documentation like that.

Dag Please open a new bug report on YouTrack for this issue as I was unable to reproduce it on 2026.2.0.1 with a Django project on a Docker Compose interpreter
