PyCharm 5 still does not work with Java 8

I installed PyCharm 5 today (luckily in a separate folder).

By default, I have Java 8 installed.
Using this, PyCharm freezes my machine after indexing the skeleton framework.

Adding JAVA_HOME to point to the JDK7, PyCharm works fine.

Fix in sight any time soon?

(Using Ubuntu 15.10)
