For the iPython notebook pane, how do I reduce the right and left margin size

The ipython notebook editor pane/tab has 1" of blank margin on the right and 1/2" on left. Also, the cell itself has a 1" blank margin on the left of the cell.
These margins do not appear on the jupyter browser window.  This is for PyCharm 5.0.1

How can I eliminate the margin?
