about the new version Follow
I just got the message that the new version of CLion was released, and I clicked the button to download.
I downloaded a tar.gz file and extracted it ,so there were 2 files of clion, one was the previous version 1.2.1 and one was 1.2.2
I opened the terminal and typed ./clion.sh but it just started the app not started to install.
so I deleted the 1.2.1 file and typed again and it just showed like this:
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM warning: ignoring option MaxPermSize=350m; support was removed in 8.0
log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (io.netty.util.internal.logging.InternalLoggerFactory).
log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly.
log4j:WARN See http://logging.apache.org/log4j/1.2/faq.html#noconfig for more info.
[ 2423] WARN - om.intellij.util.ProfilingUtil - Profiling agent is not enabled. Add -agentlib:yjpagent to idea.vmoptions if necessary to profile IDEA.
and even I opened the app,I cannot see its new icon,
how to reinstall it?

I can only open Clion by using Terminal command now,and even during its running,I locked it to launcher, but I cannot open it in launcher.
I can use it no wrong but it's really inconvenient for me,it's due to my wrong way of deleting, how can I wipe out all the previous files and reinstall it?
Could you please specify do you mean desktop icon or you can't see all new icons in the newest CLion 1.2.2?
On Linux you should delete the folder you've created when you've installed CLion. Also you can delete cache folder (~/.clion12 by default).
Could you also add a screenshot with Help | About CLion, please?
I meant the desktop icon.
I just deleted the .CLion12 file and restarted clion.sh.
The problem has been solved.
Thank you for your help!
