Much longer until the next release? Follow Glen Stampoultzis Created July 29, 2009 06:19 It's been a while since the last release. I was just wondering if it would be much longer until we see another release?
+1! And a version that works with Maia EAPs would be wonderful.
It is pretty sad that the development of this plugin stalled. I now switched to Emacs for clojure development, since the REPL in this plugin is badly broken and unusable .
Is there a target release date for this plugin anyway? Maybe when maia is released?
The current plugin code in Subversion is much better than the last release. It's not perfect but all the bad bugs in the REPL are fixed. I've been using it a lot recently and really like it.
Building it isn't as easy as it should be but there's a thread here that might help: http://www.jetbrains.net/devnet/thread/282950?tstart=0. The problems with the build are caused by two files in the repository with the same path and name but with different capitalisation. You also need to build it using a version of IDEA compiled for Java 1.5. Which means using Mac OS X or one of the Java 5 EAP builds.
I'm pretty sad that development has stalled too, even in its current state it's the best environment I've found for developing Clojure.
In the last build of La Clojure plugin for IDEA 9 CE we fixed some problems, related to REPL management, but it's still not perfect and I recommend to write most of code in editor whenever it's possible and execute it in REPL.
Here it is. Check plugin repository.
Woo hoo! Off I go to download it and play with it!
Thanks for the update Ilya.
