Windows Authentication support for Mac?

Is there any possibility of MS SQL Windows Authentication support ever working on Mac?

I know it is possible, because I use it in Navicat all the time (which I belive is also a Java-base app). They have an explicit setting to change the authentication type, and specify a domain, username, and password.
