Unable to connect to Oracle using same settings as Oracle SQL Developer

Hi. Hoping someone can help.

On the same computer, using the same settings as Oracle SQL Developer, I can't seem to connect using DBE.
I've attached two screen shots showing the connection settings for each. Anybody have any idea what the problem might be?

I had to use the full service name defined in my tnsnames.ora. So, in my case, the TNS entry is 'ODST' and the SERVICE_NAME is 'ODST.BLAH.EDU'. Once I used 'ODST.ACU.EDU' as the database in the datasource in 0xDBE everything worked.
