Editing very sluggish, any options to make it usable?

Editing Scala and non-Scala code is very sluggish (107.52+0.4.1020). I am getting several second pauses after each character typed. CPU snapshot attached to SCL-3192.

I have disabled antivirus scanning for IDEA directories (installation and user directory). Also tried to disable any code completion and inspections related to Scala. The editing is unbearably slow even in non-Scala code. Disabling Scala plugin fixes the problem but then I do not have Scala support.

Any hints what options can be used to make it usable before Scala plugin is fixed?

Thanks,

Jarek

Please provide snapshot for editing non-scala code.
According to your snapshot you can hide StructureView, and it should help.

And also disable "Show members" in project view.
This also cause problems (in non-scala files too).

Thanks.

Hiding Structure View and "Show Members" seems to reduce the delays significantly (both Scala and non-Scala). Delays seem to be a fraction of a second in Scala now, and almost not noticeable in Java code.

I attached to SCL-3192 snapshot for editing of a Java file when Structure View and "Show Members" are enabled (there are two older ones for Java already there).
